Host Family Referral Incentive Program

An Exciting Opportunity for FCI Hosts…

Because we know that the best introduction to our services is through those currently hosting our students, FCI has initiated a limited-time referral incentive for existing FCI host families to refer prospective families to us.

Successfully refer a prospective new host and earn $250!

How it works…

• The FCI host speaks to a neighbor, family member, or friend about hosting an FCI international student and receives that person’s approval to send us their contact details;
• The prospective referral must be willing to go through our screening process and accept a high school student who would be arriving between August 29th to September 2nd, 2026.
• The FCI host uses our online referral form to send us the contact details for the referred family;
• FCI staff then reach out to the referred family to explain the screening process and answer any additional questions they may have. Once we are satisfied that the family may be suitable for consideration, we will have them complete our online Host Family Application Form and submit the necessary paperwork. We will then arrange for a site visit to their home while they obtain the necessary CRC checks; and, finally,
• A successful referral has occurred once a student has been matched with the referred family and subsequently completes at least one academic term. Your referral incentive will then be deposited to your account shortly thereafter.

There is no limit to the number of host families that you can refer but you must submit a separate referral form for each family.

IMPORTANT NOTE: FCI’s Referral Incentive Program runs from May 15 to August 1, 2026 and is targeted specifically to prospective homestays located within the City of North Vancouver and the District of North Vancouver areas only.
