Welcome Students!
Every year, over 353,000 international students elect to reside in Canada to pursue further education. Canada’s education system is recognized worldwide for its high standards and quality.
To study in Canada, you may either need a study permit or a temporary resident visa. These, however, do not apply to everyone. If you only want to study in a short-term course or program, you will likely not need to apply for a permit.
In order to apply, you must have a letter of acceptance from a school, college, university or other educational institution in Canada. In most cases, you must apply for your study permit before arriving in Canada. Good planning is therefore important!
Make sure you’re fully prepared before arriving in Canada, so that you know exactly what’s ahead of you and can avoid any unexpected stress.
We can assist you in the pre-planning process, in securing a responsible Custodial Guardian if you are a minor-aged student, and assigned a Canadian host family for those who chose to reside in a private home.
Of course, continued planning after arriving in Canada is also very important! A student’s social life post-arrival plays a big role in their happiness with their study abroad experience. International students who made local friends are more satisfied with their experience and are more willing to recommend a study abroad program to friends and other family members.
Culturally, Canada is very diverse and welcoming of people from around the world. You should be able to find many like-minded students that share a similar background and beliefs.
Most schools, colleges and universities will have different clubs and societies that you can join to meet like-minded people. We also encourage you to get involved with local sport teams or arts and theater groups. When you find common interests you will also find friendships!
Our goal is to ensure that you succeed in this experience!
